Enjoy a new shared hosting experience! The Rios Lodge Ecohostel is the first of its kind along the Pacuare River.

Each bunk sleeps eight people, with four bunk beds in fully equipped rooms. Rest in your open-air bunk, connect with other travelers in the common lounge and covered deck area, and explore nature with optional guided adventures and activities!

Day 1 This trip will take you through one of the most renowned rivers in the world, celebrated for its scenic landscapes, rapids, waterfalls, and crystal-clear beauty. This section of the river is ideal for beginner rafters, offering a mix of low to medium difficulty rapids. After an early morning pickup from your hotel in San José, we'll head towards the first town, Cartago. After crossing the heart of this province, we will journey through the picturesque villages of Paraíso, Cervantes, Juan Viñas, and Turrialba, known as the rafting capital of Costa Rica. This journey will take approximately 2.5 hours, including a typical breakfast before embarking on the class III and IV rapids adventure. Our team will be waiting at the Parque de Aventura Ganadería Tres Equis, where you will receive a safety briefing on the riverbank before embarking on the 6-mile journey of the first-day adventure. Indulge in a delectable buffet-style lunch either riverside or at the lodge, and as the day winds down, immerse yourself in our Happy Hour experience, setting the perfect tone for a candlelit dinner. Enjoy a selection of refreshing drinks and snacks, preparing your palate for the delightful menu and wine that will cap off your unforgettable day on the Pacuare River. Day 2 After indulging in a leisurely breakfast accompanied by the soothing sounds of the river and picturesque views, you'll have the freedom to embark on various activities or simply relax and take in the beauty of the riverside scenery. - Jamaikari Experience: Depart from camp after breakfast for an immersive rafting journey to explore the indigenous reserve of Jamaikari. Here, you'll have the unique opportunity to engage with and learn from the local community. - Happy Hour from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm: Join us for a delightful Happy Hour session, where you can enjoy refreshing beverages and delectable snacks in a convivial atmosphere. Day 3 Awaken on Day 2 to the soothing sounds of the river and the aroma of delicious Costa Rican fresh coffee; a hearty breakfast awaits you. Get ready for the most exhilarating part of your adventure: 14 miles of thrilling rafting with the best rapids the Pacuare has to offer.

The tour includes: - Transportation to and from San Jose hotel - Accommodation - 3 Typical breakfast - 3 Buffet lunch at the river - 5 hours of rafting - River guide - Rafting equipment - Safety kayaker - Insurance - Taxes You can change clothes at the river takeout before returning to San Jose, where you will arrive at your hotel around 6:00 pm.
